Back To Basics

Jacket – Miss Selfridge, Jeans – Topshop, Shoes – ASOS, Scarf – Épice*

The spring sunshine this Easter weekend brought along with it the excuse to dress a little more summery and wear a couple of new items in my wardrobe. For me spring dressing is all about wearing classic wardrobe staples for a clean, classic look. Skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a leather jacket are staples in most women’s wardrobes and if they aren’t they definitely should be. Easy to throw on and with minimal styling required basic items make dressing a little easier.

A printed scarf is one of the easiest ways in which to update a simple look and add some print and colour to your outfit, with floral prints being the most seasonally appropriate at this time of year. This Épice scarf is the perfect anecdote to spring dressing with it’s cherry flower print and bright colour palette. Épice are a French based company who combine Scandinavian design with vibrant Indian inspired prints, all produced Fairtrade in India. If your into prints, love a summer scarf, or if your into ethical fashion, Épice are definitely worth checking out if you are after an item that has been lovingly crafted with inspiration taken from across the globe.

What are your basic items for spring dressing?
