Beauty: What’s On My Face

One of the things I love most about reading blogs is having a nosey around peoples lives and a look into the beauty products they love and can’t live without. I much prefer reading about a product that’s been tried out by someone like me than hearing all the  press claims and thinking does it actually work. I thought I’d share the make-up products that end up on my face on a daily basis and why they are just so blooming great.

After I’ve slapped on a bit of  Simple’s Kind To Skin Hydrating Moisturiser I dot Benefits The Porefessional around my face and blend in with a foundation brush. The Porefessional makes pores less visible, reduces shine and helps your make-up stay put all day – pretty great huh. I then use Rimmel’s Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer on any blemishes and dark circles, I’ve been using this concealer for years now and whilst I’d love to branch out and try out some new ones, this one gives a good coverage that isn’t too cakey. Benefit’s High Beam is next to do a little more highlighting which I use sparingly on my brow and cheek bones. After this I use a little of Rimmel’s Stay Matte Powder in 005 silky beige and Rimmel’s Natural Bronzer (girl clearly likes Rimmel!) in 022 sun bronze to give a sun kissed glow. Then I sweep a bit of Seventeen’s Instant Glow Pink Bronze Shimmer Brick (review here) on the tops of my cheekbones and a little of Bourjois Little Round Pot in Rose Frisson on the apples of my cheeks.

For my eyebrows I mix a little of carbon and medium blonder from the HD Brows Palette which came with a Glossybox subscription a couple of years ago. When it comes to eyes I love a cat flick and days without eyeliner are rare and leave me feeling like I’m missing a certain something. Seventeen are another of my go-to make-up brands and I find their liquid liner one of the best out there. I have also been trying out Eyeko’s Skinny Liquid Liner which comes in felt tip form and has definitely improved my liquid application skills. I’m lucky to have pretty long eyelashes so I don’t really look to mascara for their lengthening abilities and use anything from Natural Collections £1.99 offering to Benefits They’re Real mascara which is my current favourite.
