Let’s talk about suede. The trend which has slowly been creeping onto the high street since last autumn/winter one rail at a time before its full blown assult on our wardrobes this season. For a girl who used to have a pair of tan lace up suede/cord flares from New Look back in the day (on trend at the time I’m sure!) I wasn’t completely won over when the trend cropped back up on the high street late last year. However, fast forward to spring/summer and in the past week I’ve purchased two faux suede items.
From a-line button down skirts to cami tops and shift dresses suede isn’t holding back when it comes to shapes, styles and even shades, with everything from camel to dusky pink gracing the high street. I’ll be wearing my suede pieces with stacked heel sandals and distressed denim for a 70s vibe. Next on my wishlist is the grey suede and metallic detail clutch from Oliver Bonas – the perfect use all year bag.
Have you picked up any suede pieces yet?
