Beauty: Top Three Drugstore Mascaras

Drugstore mascara

My names Lucy and I have a mascara addiction. New mascara launch? I’ll be buying it. New brush technology? I’ll be testing it out.  Lashes up to XYZ times more volumised? You get the jist. In honour of possibly my favourite drugstore beauty product I’ve rounded up my top three drugstore mascaras that are available in the UK.

First on my drugstore mascara round up is Benefit’s Roller Lash. I’m a big fan of Benefit’s marscara offerings and Roller Lash is my favourite from their collection. The ‘Hook ‘n’ Roll’ brush technology seperates, lifts and curls lashes with the plastic applicator. I find the application really great, the formula isn’t too gloopy and the application is smooth and easy to apply. This mascara is great for those ‘no make-up, make-up’ days when you want a subtle mascara look, but equally the formula is buildable if you prefer a more dramatic lash look.

Another drugstore mascara favourite is Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Mascara. I first picked this up a couple of months ago now in a beauty haul which you can read here and have since repurchased it again. Like Benefit’s Roller Lash this also has a plastic applicator however the brush is curved. This mascara is perfect at lifting and setting lashes, I find the curl lasts all day which is something other drugstore mascaras fail at. If you like your mascara to give you fluttery lashes and stay put all day then this is the one for you.

The last product on my drugstore mascara round up is the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara. I was first drawn to this because of the limited edition retro summer packaging (well it needs to look good on your dressing table right?!). I love this mascara for instant volume, I’m lucky enough to have long eyelashes so when picking a drugstore mascara I often look to ones that claim to add volume and seperate lashes. The brush applicator is great at catching every last eyelash and with no clump in sight!
