Beauty: My Skincare Routine

A photo of a skincare routine

Today I thought I’d share the skincare products I use on a daily basis in my morning and evening skincare routine. First off my skin type is combination, it can be oily but also suffers from dryness from time to time, to combat this I always look to products that will control the oiliness but won’t dry my skin out unnecessarily. My skincare routine includes products from both drugstores and counter based products, including some old favourites which have appeared on here before.

Lets begin with my evening routine. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you’ll know I’m obsessed with my beloved Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (you can read my reviews here and here). I take my make-up off every evening with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (full review here) and go over with my Cleanse and Polish to ensure my skin is well cleansed before bed. If i’m not using my Liz Earle cleanser then I use the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm. The Elemis balm is super nourishing so I always use this on days where my skin is a little more tired and needs some extra TLC. Once I’ve cleansed my face I’ll then go on to use the Origins Super Spot Remover on any blemishes. Whilst the pot is a little pricey for such a small amount it’s well worth it to remove pesky spots overnight.

Now for my morning skincare routine, where I’ve recently fallen back in love with the Visibly Clear range from Neutrogena.  I start by washing my face with the Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash before using the moisturiser from the same range. The grapefruit scent is great at waking my skin up first thing in the morning. To finish of my skincare routine I use the Origins Ginzing Eye Cream to bright and depuff my eyes and get ready for the day ahead.

I’d love to know what product you use in your skincare routine and if you have any recommendations for me so let me know in the comments below!
