Dress: Topshop, Necklace: Accessorize, Boots: Kurt Geiger
Every year I pop along to Topshop and pick up a new dress to see me through autumn/winter. It started out as a bit of a birthday tradition when me and mum would make a trip to the Oxford Circus brand of Topshop every September (after both of our respective birthdays) to have a little spend up. This years trip was slightly different as mum surprised me with a trip to Harrogate (more on that soon) so this flared sleeved little number if from the Harrogate branch.
If you’re a regular reader you’ll know I love a bargain and whilst Topshop isn’t the most extravagant of shops on the high street by any stretch of the imagination, when I purchase from there I try and invest in pieces I won’t get bored of a few months down the line.
I love picking out a new autumn dress each year as I know it’s something I can turn to when I have one of those ‘I have nothing to wear but my wardrobes overflowing’ days and pair it with my favourite winter boots. I’ve already featured these boots in an outfit post last month and they haven’t left my feet since.
Autumnal colours are my favourite so this red, 70s bell sleeved dress had be running across the Topshop floor to pick it up. I picked it up in the normal section as I prefer dresses to be a bit longer, although it does also come in tall and petite. It’s definitely going to be one of those easy pieces in my wardrobe I can throw on, with my leather jacket or even my camel colour boyfriend coat.
