Every Christmas I pick a wrapping paper theme. Yep, you heard that right a wrapping paper theme. Now before you go and click off this blog post and have a good old laugh at this, hear me out. I absolutely love giving presents to people and, my favourite part is wrapping them up. Call me sad or whatever, but making a gift look all magical and pretty at Christmas times is one of my favourite things to do to get in the festive spirit. Usually accompanied by a glass of mulled wine and Christmas film (probably Elf) for me it’s one of the things I look forward to most at this time of year.
Last years theme was brown paper with twine ribbons and big red bows whilst this years is theme is taking on a more decorative, candy cane theme. All of the things I picked up were from Wilko, and came in at around £12 which for 3 rolls of paper, tags and decorations I was pretty happy with.
I picked up rolls of paper that would work together as I like to wrap presents in different paper even if they’re all for the same person. I usually go to town on ribbons but this year I decided to pick up lots of different little decorations to add to my gifts. I picked out some pom pom ribbon, silver bells, a multipack of red and silver baubles and some faux green fir twigs with berries on.
When it comes to putting everything together I’ll probably just mix and match lots of different elements together so that I can create lots of different styles. I’m feeling so Christmassy at the moment, so now I actually just need to go out and but the gifts to wrap and put under the tree – yipee!
Sorry if this post was super boring but hopefully it’s given you some inspiration when it comes to your festive wrapping!
