There are times, especially on particularly dreary days, when only a pamper night will help to solve your troubles. I’m talking Lush bathbombs, hot chocolates, cosy PJs, a good book and scented candles.
I always find pamper nights are best served on a Sunday evening or after work on a Monday, because what’s more motivating than the thought of a good old pamper before a week at work or coming home to a hot bath after the clock hits 5pm. Of course you can have them any day of the week but I always find these two days to be my favourites when it comes to a little me time.
I’ve put together the things I do when I’m having a pamper evening and whilst this list isn’t compulsory or revolutionary it can usually help me to feel a whole lot better after a particularly rubbish day.
The Bath Products
Lush is always a winner when it comes to adding something special to a bath and making it a little bit more luxury than your standard bubble bath, but after I received these The Body Shop bath fizzers for Christmas I’ve found they come a close second. The frosted plum scent smells amazing and they turn the bath a pretty lilac shade.
If there was ever a perfect time to whip out your best pamper products then this would be it. I’ve always loved Soap & Glory products, and whilst I do use them on a daily basis It’d be rude to leave them out now. I’ve also been loving this Sanctuary Spa Sleep Scrub and whilst it’s easy to be skeptical as to whether these products do work in aiding a better nights sleep, I do feel more relaxed when I’ve used it.
When it comes to pampering there’s only one outfit of choice that needs to be considered and that my friends is pyjamas. I fall into the category of people that once I’m home for the day the comfy clothes go on no matter what time it is, so any excuse to get wrapped up in something supper snuggly is always welcomed by me. Being on the smaller side, I always find pyjama bottoms too long for my little legs, but these ASOS ones come in petite and are the perfect length.
I absolutely love reading, but it’s always one of those things where I read loads on holiday and then swiftly forget all about it when I’m back on UK soil. I’m currently reading After You, the squeal to Me Before You and after sobbing my way through the first book on a beach in Thailand, the second book does have a slightly lighter feel to it so far.
I’ve never met a girl who doesn’t like a scented candle and I love burning one in the evening to help me relax. When it comes to scents I like anything from light floral to vanilla, and I always end up picking a couple of candles up whenever I’m in Primark. I find their price point really good, and their packaging is definitley improving, I’ve picked up everything from candles in jam jars, pretty paisley prints and copper dipped pots. This one is from Next and it’s one of those things that I’ll keep once the candle has long burnt out.
All good pamper nights need a snack selection to go with them, the more indulgent the better I say. I’ve been loving Lindt chocolate lately, so it’s no surprise that this salted caramel bar made it’s way into my shopping basket.
